Proceed to the Hertz location to pick up your rental car and settle in at your hotel.  Enjoy the rest of the day exploring Auckland's many shops and restaurants. Day 2: Auckland - Waitangi, Bay of Islands Depart early this morning for your scenic drive through the northern tip of New Zealand to Russell, Bay of Islands. Stop for lunch at a local bistro (own expense). This afternoon, browse through the seaside village of Paihia or meander through local stores. Evening at leisure. Day 3: Dolphin Adventure Cruise On this ultimate marine adventure you'll get right up close to the dolphins.  Watch their antics and get great photos.  The Bay has the warmest waters in New Zealand for swimming with dolphins (weather permitting).  After your Dolphin Adventure you'll visit beautiful Urupukapuka Island.  If you wish, stay for the day to enjoy the coastal walks, magnificent beaches and swimming, return on a later vessel.  Day 4: Relax at the Bay of Islands Today, suggested activities include golf at Waitangi Golf course or a beautiful bush walk, taking in the sounds, smells and crispness of the fresh air and azure sea.  Early afternoon head back to Auckland to connect with your onward flight.
