Sydney Excursion Day 1 - Arrive in Sydney: Spend the evening resting and adjusting to the new time change. Adelaide Excursion Day 1 - Arrive in Adelaide: Spend the evening resting and adjusting to the new time change. Day 2 - Full Day Kangaroo Island Tour: Australian Sea Lions, Kangaroos and Koalas in the Wild, Birdlife. Arrive on Kangaroo Island at 9.55 a.m. by air or 9.45 a.m. by ferry and be met by your guide. Your island nature experience begins with an introduction to the island. Kangaroo Island is a haven for Australian wildlife, which exists in its natural habitat without the threat of introduced predators. The island is also home to 267 species of birds, many of which have developed their own subspecies and are therefore unique to the island. Tour several differing island habitats and see wildlife in its natural environment. As you travel keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies, reptiles and wildflowers along the roadside. Also on the island are bandicoots, goannas, pygmy and brushtail possums and geese. At Seal Bay take a guided walk along the beach, among the sea lions which bask on the beach - a truly unforgettable experience. Enjoy lunch in a bush setting, followed by a bushwalk or beach stroll. Travel the island's interior, watching for koalas and echidnas. Explore the beaches of the north coast and take a bushwalk. Listen for Australia's rarest cockatoo, the Kangaroo Island Glossy Black cockatoo and watch for the Tammar wallaby. Later see kangaroos leave the bush to graze on open pastures. Alice Springs and Ayers Rock Excursion Day 1 - Arrive in Alice Springs: Spend the evening resting and adjusting to the new time change. Day 2 - Alice Springs, Kata Tjuta, Uluru: Depart 7:00 a.m. and arrive at Ayers Rock 20 minutes after sunset. Travel from Alice Springs to Kata Tjuta (Olgas), stopping en route at a camel farm where you can ride a camel (own expense). At Kata Tjuta, join a guided walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge, followed by a complimentary glass of wine as you watch the sunset over Uluru. Tour concludes at Ayers Rock Resort. Cairns Excursion Day 1 - Arrive in Cairns: Spend the evening resting and adjusting to the new time change. Day 2 - Skyrail Adventure: Depart 8:00 a.m. and arrive back at 5:15 p.m. Travel to Kuranda by Skyrail, the world's only rainforest cableway, with stops at Red Peak and Barron Falls stations. On arrival in picturesque Kuranda, enjoy free time to explore the Kuranda markets, art galleries and various attractions. Later, climb aboard the Kuranda Scenic Railway for your truly memorable return journey to Cairns, passing over 40 bridges and through 15 tunnels. Ride through lush tropical rainforest scenery and marvel at the impressive Stoney Creek and Barron Falls.
