Itinerary
Day 1 –
Travel south to Rotorua, stopping along the way to explore the amazing
Day 2 – Rotorua and Hobbiton
Join your morning tour of Rotorua's highlights: geysers, mud pools, and the Agrodome. This afternoon, journey out to the countryside to visit the set of “Hobbiton.”
Day 3 – Rotorua to Queenstown
Hop on a flight this morning from Rotorua to Queenstown (flight not included). Get a window seat and check out “
Day 4 – Milford Sound
Today you'll travel up to Milford Sound, the Fiordland's most famous and accessible glacier-carved fiords. On arrival, you'll take a cruise through the deep blue waters seeing cascading waterfalls, sheer cliffs, dense rainforest, towering mountains and wildlife ranging from dolphins to penguins. Arrive back in Queenstown this evening.
Day 5 – Queenstown
This morning, join your 4WD tour to see these Lord of the Rings filming sites: Lothlorien, Isengard, Ithilien Camp, and Amon Hen. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure in Queenstown or take another tour (additional expense) to the following: Ford of Bruinen,
