Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Uluru/Ayers Rock

Your journey begins at Uluru/Ayers Rock. This evening you’ll be transported to a desert dune where you sip champagne and listen to haunting sounds of didgeridoo as you watch a magnificent sunset over Kata Tjuta. When the sun has finally set, lanterns are lit and a gourmet Australian BBQ of is served under the stars. The resident astronomer will introduce you to the magnificent constellations, stars and planets that make up the skies of the Southern Hemisphere.

Stay: Sails in the Desert

Day 2: Ayers Rock, Alice Springs
An early rise this morning to join your Ayers Rock Sunrise and Base Tour. Visit the base to view sunrise over Uluru (Ayers Rock). After viewing the sunrise, enjoy a leisurely drive around the base of Uluru where your guide will point out a number of interesting features of the monolith, then take you on a walking tour of Mutitjulu Waterhole where you can view Aboriginal Rock Art.

Later this morning you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Alice Springs (flight not included).

Alice Springs is the area's headquarters and the perfect base for exploration. This afternoon you’ll have a private personalized 4-hour-tour of Alice Springs to suit your interests. Visits can include the Royal Flying Doctor Base, Aboriginal Cultural Museum and Art Gallery, Alice Springs Desert Park, School of the Air, Ross River Homestead, Flynn's Grave and more.

Late in the afternoon, a helicopter flight to remember. Enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly before flying via private helicopter to Honeymoon Gap, along Mt Gillen ridgeline to Heavitree Gap, providing extensive views of Alice Springs as the sun sets over the desert ranges. The perfect end to a perfect day!

Days 3 & 4: Alice Springs, Ooraminna Bush Camp, Outback

Your luxury outback cabin at Ooraminna awaits you. This morning you’ll travel 30 minutes out of Alice Springs to Ooraminna Bush Camp. Here you’ll experience true outback hospitality. William and Mary Hayes were one of the pioneer families of the Alice Springs District, arriving in the area in 1884 with horses and bullock teams loaded with steel poles to replace the original wooden poles on the Overland Telegraph Line. Today, six generations later, Bill and Jan Hayes and their family invite you to experience the unique beauty of the outback with them.

Day 5 Alice Springs, Darwin

Today, you’ll be transferred to Alice Springs Airport for your flight to Australia’s ‘Top End’, Darwin this morning. (Flight not included)

Darwin is a popular holiday destination, thanks to a laid back charm cultivated in equal parts by its tropical climate and geographical position. You will spend 2 nights here at Skycity Darwin, Darwin's premium five star boutique hotel.

This afternoon enjoy a private guided tour of the city, including visits to art galleries and other points of interest. In the evening, enjoy a sailing experience on Darwin Harbor with its mangrove lined waterways, home to a rich array of wildlife including crocodiles, marine mammals, native bird and fish.

Day 6: Darwin, Kakadu

Today you will travel on the Arnhem Highway across the Adelaide River and Marrakai Plains to Kakadu. You’ll stop at Nourlangie Rock, where your guide will lead a walk to view ancient Aboriginal rock art. After lunch we join our local guide for a cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong. Search for saltwater crocodiles and the colorful range of bird life this region is renowned for. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and view the informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu, before returning to Darwin.

Day 7: Depart Darwin

Today your Outback encounter ends with your transfer to Darwin Airport, or extend your Australia adventure with another tour!
